Arcadia Gardens

Arcadia Gardens in Singapore plays host to this spacious apartment.  The 200 square meter apartment features a large living space that hosts a sizeable collection of contemporary artwork and objets d’art

Lighting plays an integral part of the architectural design.  Its form follows the clean lines created by the architect with light fittings concealed but perfectly positioned to pick out each piece of artwork

In the living room, black lighting troughs from Viabizzuno’s System 094 range run down each side of the room.  A series of moveable track lights within can be repositioned as the collection of art changes around the space.  Above the dining table a piece from Swarovski’s Crystal Palace collection by Tord Boontje creates great dramatic effect whilst table and floor lights from Fontana Arte create a soft atmosphere during the evening

Elsewhere, plastered-in trimless down lights cause minimal disruption to the ceilings.  Used in pairs, the technique helps to keep the ceiling looking clean whilst providing ample lighting to the space below
